The desperate man
A man went to a wealthy man in desperation and politely said: “Brother, I am in much pain would you listen to me please?” “I am not your brother and don’t have time for someone poor like you.” said the wealthy man.
The man went to a poor man sitting on the street and politely said: “Brother, I am in much pain would you help me? Would you listen to me please?” “I am not your brother and don’t have time for someone rich like you.” said the poor man on the street.
The man went to a working man and politely said: “Brother, I am in much pain would you listen to me please?” “I don’t have time; I have a family to feed.” said the working man.
The man went to a politician and politely said: “Brother, I am in much pain would you help me, would you listen to me please?” The politician said: “Sure, I will help you.” But the politician was very busy and the man’s time never came.
The man went to a wise man and politely said: “Brother, I am in much pain would you help me; would you listen to me please?” The wise man replied: “Have a seat in this comfy chair brother. Let me make a tea and then we’ll talk. He listened to the man, they resolved his problems and on the end they both felt good and started to joke and laugh. The man embraced the wise man, thanked him for his time and asked: “How come, that all the people I approached never took the time to listen to me but you did? Don’t you have other things to do?” The wise man said: “Oh, I always find things to do, but if I didn’t help you now, I would be thinking of you and would not be able to do my work very well. You would still be sad and you would be back tomorrow for my help. Taking the time for you the first time actually saved me time on the long run and made your life and mine easier. Look at us we are able to laugh and feel good.
Next please?
